Agenda

The core objective of this scholarly congregation is to outline a principle strategic framework for elevation international ranking of journals, universities and research organization from Pakistan. To learn, adopt and optimize globally recognized practices for our national need of higher scholarly rankings, we have invited senior officials from Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) for the first time in Pakistan.  These officials are actively working regional governments / institutions; and expert advisors on handling Web of Science, JCR or Journal Impact Factor, University/Research Organization Ranking and different aspects of Intellectual Property Rights or Patents including commercial affairs.

In this conference, we are focusing to learn and discuss;

  • Role of academic papers and patent filings in University/Organization Ranking
  • Patenting University/Organization discoveries in Derwent World Patents Index and Derwent Innovations Index for higher ranking purpose
  • Ways and means to support institution’s interest in protecting and commercializing its discoveries
  • Better practices for policy makers and quality control assurance/control division

All representative from public/private sector universities, journals and research organizations are welcomed to suggest any change in agenda. Organizing committee shall consider the suggestions depending upon availability of time. For more details and information please contact us.
